I love the design and everything about it, especially it being cordless. But when I got it in the mail, battery won’t charge so it’s useless. Constant red light means it’s charging, when the light goes out, its suppose to be fully charged. Mine only flashes red and doesn’t do anything.

After I received the sharpener, I was unable to charge the battery and the unit was useless. I don't know if this was a manufacturing problem, or if the battery simply failed because it had not been charged in a long time. In any case, I've returned the unit to Amazon and am waiting for a refund of the purchase price + postage. I'll probably try again to get one because I like the design idea, but next time I'll go directly to Smiths and ask them to charge and test the unit pre delivery.
