Small 1tr bag of orchid potting mix. The mix has a nice feel to it and contains everything to grow a good healthy plant, bit expensive though.

The bag is labelled as ‘Horticultural Medium’ and not Orchid Potting Compost as shown in the listing image. Now while they are all probably much of the same, the listing should be accurate as to what you actually receive – after all it is a hefty price at £29 for the 10L bag. It is only the sellers’ white label that mentions orchids. There was a bit of moisture in the bag, it isn’t completely dry. It has white perlite granules mixed through it, but only a small amount. There are some extra strands and bits in the bag that are not bark, you will have to pick these out if you don’t want them. I will use it to re-pot my orchids once they have finished flowering, and hopefully it will suit them and do the job. I would probably choose something else next time; I think this one is expensive.

This orchid potting mix is currently priced just shy of £29,for 10 Litres.The potting mix is supplied in a resealable bag to help maintain freshness and provide easy access.The mix contains a lot of bark chippings and feed,so very good for aeration and nourishment.Comes with a premium price tag.Good product,my rating is 5 Stars.I hope you will find my review and image helpful.

The best value bag is the 10 litre, which is the one I ordered. It weighs about 1.85 kg. The mix is described as medium. It is more coarse than mixes I have previously used, with larger sized bark chippings. It is ideal for potting on my orchids even into small size containers. It perhaps does not contain as much Perlite as appears in the description images, and as mentioned, though this isn't a particular problem. There's a good healthy earthy aroma from the bag and the contents are dry, though the smell indicates some moisture is in there too. It's a very good growing medium and should provide plenty of aeration and acidity to keep my plants thriving and blooming.
