These kind of toys have been around for a while. I used to have one that I lost, but I wanted to buy one to show a science class. They consist of a hand-held van-de-graaff generator to make static electricity, and some very lightweight metal foil that you can charge up from the generator and 'levitate'.The generator itself seems to work, but the crucial foil is deeply problematic. First, there are only 4, not 10 as stated. Second, they are SO flimsy foil that it is impossible not to tear them. But third and most unforgivable, the foil comes adhered with fairly sticky glue onto a paper backing. You need to have incredible dexterity and patience to separate the foil from the paper -- I simply couldn't manage it without ripping the foil. And once ripped, the things will not fly properly any more.So, it's basically useless, because of this fundamental flaw. I am only keeping it because I can use the generator part for some other demonstrations.

Der Stab funktioniert nach einiger Übung gut und macht meinem 7-jährigen Enkel viel Spaß. ABER leider enthielt die Pckung nur 4 statt der 10 angegebenen Flugteile. Schade!!Außerdem muss man seeehr vorsichtig sein beim Ablösen der Folie vom Trägerpapier. Sehr leicht reißt man die Folie ein.
