This YIOVVOM DB9 RS232 Serial Extension Cable is a male to male 9 pin extension cable. I had originally planned to use it to extend my existing cable linking my IPAD to a projector for training, but, I failed to read the description completely! My fault.Regardless, I was able to test this as a stand-alone and found that it works fine. It is made of much thinner material than my existing cord (hard to measure but maybe 2/3 of the diameter?), yet still carried the signal through to the projector. I have ordered a gender bender, so I should be able to use this as originally intended and will update any issues related to the different sizes of cables.If a male to male cable is what you need, this performs well.

I bought this for a very old computer with an RS-232 port. It works great. No problems at all.
