Ordered this base layer for my hubby (one size up!) for his winter running and hiking antics that I love not being a part of.It IS a compression top so for most people, going one size higher is much better and one thing that separates this from other base layers is that the inside is nice and fluffy thanks to the fleece - making this SUPER warm in the cold (not sure if this can be worn comfortably in the gym without overheating but he's not complained about that yet!).The material feels great (smooth and soft!) and it doesn't restrict any motion and, for all intents and purposes, it 'stays out of the way' - just what you need for when you're active. For about £18, this is a brilliant purchase and also very easy to layer underneath regular clothes too!

The good: The fabric of this t-shirt is lovely, very soft and smooth and comfortable against the skin. The sleeves and body are plenty long enough.The less good: I really do not like the unusual cut of the shirt. The side seams, instead of starting under the arms and going straight down to the hem, start forward of the underarm position then curve towards the back and look rather strange, I think, The shirt is advertised as a compression base layer and it certainly is cosy and close-fitting. Both the sleeves and body do fit closely, to the point of being uncomfortable so I would advise buying a size larger than usual unless you want a really clinging close fit. It is excellent value for the quality at under £15.

I'm really happy with the fit, not need to go any size above or below, just order what you normally wear. It is made of stretchable material so regardless of your body shape it will fit ok. I wear this when I go running and it's just great!
