Disclaimer: I never before used or bought a micrometer.In hindsight it should have been obvious, but this is basically an imperial unit measuring inches. On the physical scale zero is 1 inch / 2.540mm and one full turn (reading 0 again on the engraved scale) is 1.025 inch / 26.035mm Only the LCD screen can show metric. Sadly the metric versions are not available with a imperial LCD display option.It weighs 338 grams, feels heavier than I had expected. There's about 1mm slop/play when turning the knurled handle, which is a little disappointing for something with Mitutoyo on it, one star less for that.The "manual" has environmental and safety disclaimers in 20 (I counted) languages and a few pictograms on using the device; partly obvious, partly confusing (I understand the idea of absolute / incremental mode, but the pictures don't make much sense) and partly incorrect (calibration sequence showing 25.000 when it should have been 25.400)Word of warning: if you see a really low price you may get a returned product even though this is not mentioned. The item I bought was "sold by Amazon" with "visit the Mitutoyo store" and had its plastic shrinkwrap (inside the plastic box) cut open as was the blister with the battery. Maybe not fair to Mitutoyo but I subtracted another star for this.In the end I decided to keep it, as I now have a genuine Mitutoyo digital for a bargain price.

Perfetto, niente da dire, Mitutoyo e' sempre una garanzia. Attenzione alla carta speciale antiossidante con cui e' confezionato, sembra essere pericolosa per gli esseri umani.
