Salvaged a used Hama star 75 tripod from a friend who was going to throw it out. Turns out it was missing the mounting plate and given the cost of this replacement part I understand why they’d rather get rid of it — the replacement mounting plate is about half the cost of a new tripod so the value proposition is a bit weak.However, this is an original product and it does work as intended. The size of the bottom interface is 32 x 32 mm if you prefer to look for generic mounting pates (this information was not listed in the product specifications at the time of purchase, but if you are reading this I hope it helps you). It is an all plastic construction, but for the 1/4” screw.I have mounted a portable projector onto it and use it with the tripod as a projector stand. It is sufficiently sturdy to support the 2 kg projector even if it is at an angle.For doing what it’s supposed to it gets 5 stars, but if you take the current £9 price asking into consideration, 3.5 stars would also be appropriate.

Das Orginal zum Stadiv, passt 100%tig. Ideal als zweite Schnellwechselplatte.

Die Schnellwechselplatte passt wie gewünscht auf mein altes Stativ und ich kann dieses somit wieder vernünftig nutzen, da mir die Originalplatte abhanden gekommen ist.Gute Qualität, nicht unbedingt günstig, aber besser als ein neues Stativ zu kaufen und das alte entsorgen zu müssen.

Tja, meine Schnellwechselplatte ist mir vor einiger Zeit kaputt gegangen. Kam somit nicht drum herum eine neue zu kaufen. Wie es so bei kleinen und besonders wichtigen Dingen in der Fotografie ist, ist sie natürlich teuer. Doch hält und funktioniert einwandfrei
