I am excited to use this cork block in my yoga practice, and am contemplating ordering another just like it to have a set. I really like the solid feeling, not that it's heavy (1.5 lbs), but compared to the lightweight foam ones I have been using. It feels much sturdier for stabilizing in poses and supporting my weight and body safely.I learned in Yin yoga that to rest my head the edge of on a block for for massaging the occipital ridge, at the back/base of the skull--this is a great release. This firmer and non-slip block is a perfect fit for that. This block is a standard height and width, but has a greater depth than some (dept. store) yoga blocks--see photo. It has rounded, vs. squared corners, which impacts how it can be angled as a prop.Low waste/Impact: I appreciate products that are packaged is a lower-waste way. The block is shipped just with a paper label, not wrapped in a bunch of plastic and when I am done with it, this product can biodegrade naturally.

This is a nice size block to use for yoga and other exercises. It is sturdy and the cork material gives it a softer feel on your hands. Because it is cork, however, you may have a few bits come off when you’re using it. It is not slippery, though, and stays in place on hard floors without slipping out from under you. This brings a secure feeling to the movements.Because the block is a regular rectangle, you have 3 different heights that can be used. This is especially helpful for people who are just starting to regain their flexibility. You can start with the highest side and work your way down to the lowest.

This yoga block is a little thicker than my other yoga blocks. The pictures show the difference in size, with my finger on the yoga block I'm reviewing. Overall, the quality is good and it is a nice sturdy block to use as the cork gives stability, unlike foam blocks.

I have the full Go4Cork Yoga collection. I couldn’t help it – it’s amazing. Each piece is indispensable on its own, and together they make for a very functional and attractive set. The collection consists of 5 pieces – a mat, block, sphere, egg and roller.I think that cork yoga items are preferable to others. They’re durable, and don’t show wear, damage, or dirt like those made of foam or other materials. They are also textured and sweat resistant, which increases grip and discourages odor absorption. They have a firmness for support, but are still soft enough to avoid pain and discomfort and have a natural warmth. Cork is easily cleaned with a warm, damp cloth. I personally like using a natural, sustainable material that I can recycle when it’s time. For those with allergies or sensitivities, cork is hypo-allergenic.The block has decent amount of weight to it. I would guess that is weighs about 2 pounds. It is made of solid, coarsely textured cork. It also seems to be slightly bigger than the foam blocks I have. I think the best feature is the increased size and the fact that its weight makes it very stable and sturdy. I find that it doesn’t wobble like many foam blocks will do. It really shines for supported bridge, etc. I also get a better stretch when just using it behind my neck or lower back. I’ve been bringing my own equipment to class and have gotten a lot of compliments from the appearance of the G4C set.
