A few months ago, the front passenger regulator of my Chevy Cruze broke and Chevrolet charged me 750$ to replace it. A few weeks later, the driver side one broke too (I guess several years in the heat of Texas is pretty harmful on those things). I was enraged, thinking that it would cost me another 750$. But I remembered that one of colleagues said he also had this problem and replaced it himself. So I looked at a video on youtube and ordered this part. It took me a couple of hours to install (including a trip to Lowes to buy a 10mm socket) and it's working wonderfully well since then. I don't know how long it's going to last but like my father said, at that price I can replace it several times before reaching the 750$ it cost to have it done by the car dealer. One of the best purchases I have done in while.

Original Ersatzteil von GM (Marke ACDelco; Erstauasrüster), sehr empfehlenswert. Kostet beim autorisierten Teilehändler ein vielfaches (identisches Teil)

I actually bought this as a warehouse return, it listed as "Packaging may be damaged", and in fact the original packaging/instructions were non-existent. It did however still have the factory grease completely unmarred on it, and I suspect the original purchaser needed a 3 pin connection rather than this one. My only other choice was nearly double the cost, and rather vaguely listed shipping as occurring in a 10 week period. It's winter in Colorado... Not a great time to have a window frozen halfway down! As far as these things go, it was easy to install, no issues with cables hurling themselves off pulley wheels during the process. I bought an "improved design" window regulator for this Chevy Cruze 6 months ago, sadly it was not. It failed to sync with the onboard computer, was touchy about remaining fully rolled up, and died a grinding death rather suddenly. This GM part, however, synced immediately after turning on the ignition just as it's supposed to, and rolls up fully and stays put. I did not rate for longevity as it's only been a couple weeks, but I'm very hopeful. I'm getting way too good at weaseling these regulators in and out, I'd like a chance to forget how it goes....
