I think this item is overpriced because it's from Global, but I've already purchased it twice (left the old one in my old apartment). It looks nice, it installs relatively easily, and it really has a strong magnet to hold the knives. Additionally, the design is clever so that I can put wet knives on here and they will dry because the edges of the rack are raised to allow for this.

One of the most expensive magnetic knife holders but all Global products are expensive. But you get what you pay for - this is very good looking and has strong magnets - so decorative and functional. Easy to fix with included screws and plugs. Recommended!

Very heavy with powerful magnet. Very expensive but hopefully worth it. 50cm one holds all 11 of my Global knives, freeing worktop space and keeping them out of children’s reach. Note that it will mark paint unless you are very careful whilst positioning it. If you have hollow walls you will need some good fixings. Agree with a previous review that the plastic Global badges are the low point.

Als Hobbykoch habe ich schon länger mit dem GLOBAL Sortiment geliebäugelt und mich nun u.A. dazu entschlossen diese Magnetleiste zu kaufen.Was soll man sagen? Sie erfüllt voll und ganz ihren Zweck und sieht dabei gut aus.Die Montage ist super-einfach und die Schrauben werden durch die seitlichen Klappen verdeckt. Zudem ist sie "Made in Japan".Ich weiß durchaus, dass es Magnetleisten auch im Preissegment um die 15 Euro gibt, jedoch weiß ich bei dieser, dass ich mich auf die Qualität verlassen kann und mir keine Sorgen zu machen brauche, dass mir ein 100 Euro Messer von der Leiste runterfällt.

while expensive,this magnetic knife rack does a very good job of holding around ten or maybe eleven knives firmly attached. The magnet is strong and inspires confidence but given that you have paid nearly a ton for it , so it should.I changed the two supplied screws to stainless steel so as to leave off the black plastic end covers that have the large letters, GLOBAL spelt on them. It looks better in my humble opinion without the overt branding.All considered, it does exactly what it is supposed to do and I am very pleased about that.
