Pastels are easily blending with other colors, some patels breaks soon. Pastels are smooth and most colors are buttery but still dry. A very good option if you are a beginner.

These would be good for children and maybe if you like the look of crayons. These do not act like oil pastels, they are more like crayon, they are not for me.

Very cheap brand, will only blend with oil. Coming from India, took around a month to arrive. This brand was used in an oil pastel tutorial, so I thought I'd try it. Too expensive for the low quality, gets a waxy bloom quickly. Will not buy again, cannot recommend. Get the Mungyo artist quality set (not the Standard student set), they are wonderful.
