Pretty easy to set a new combo. However after you set your own combo, the default one works also. So anyone who has the same lock can open it without you knowing. Kinda defeats the purpose.

Some of the locks are broken after a few trips. In particular, the lock mechanism to change the code doesn't work. I'm assuming this was caused by TSA handling. I don't have this issue with locks that were on my carry on. Just a forewarning that these locks don't handle rough handling well.

When I ordered the locks it looked like they would be easy to program. I found out very quickly they were NOT easy to program. I had to enlist the help of my so-in-law to get mine to work. I did use them on a trip to Greece & they worked well. It’s simply the set up part that I was disappointed in! I do not intend on reprogramming them so I can use them again.

I’m hoping them feeling heavy and solid means they will last a very long time. So far they seem great. Easy to open, lots of shackle space to use them on various items, haven’t tried to reset the default combo yet but instructions seem straightforward. I’d recommend these locks.
