I picked up this 3-inch Charcoal Grill Temperature Gauge as a replacement for my Oklahoma Joe’s smoker, and it’s been a solid upgrade for keeping tabs on my cooks. The large 3-1/8" face is easy to read from a distance, with bold black numbers and three color-coded zones (blue for smoking 100-250°F, red for BBQ 250-350°F, and white up to 550°F). I slapped it on my offset smoker, and it’s been great for monitoring low-and-slow ribs—stays visible even in dim evening light.Installation was a cinch—just threaded the 3-inch stainless steel stem through the 13/16-inch hole on my smoker and tightened the included nut. The 304 stainless steel build feels tough, and it’s held up to a few weeks of heat and smoke without rust or fogging (the glass lens is a nice touch). Accuracy seems on point—I cross-checked it with a digital probe, and it was within 10°F, plenty close for smoking. The self-drilling design worked flawlessly on my Oklahoma Joe’s, no extra tools needed.A couple cons: it can get condensation inside if there’s a lot of steam (like during a water pan session), but it clears up after a bit—common for these gauges. Also, the stem’s length (3 inches) might not reach deep into bigger smokers, so placement matters. Compared to the stock Oklahoma Joe’s thermometer I replaced, this one’s bigger, clearer, and feels more durable, though it’s not a massive leap in tech. For charcoal grill or smoker fans, this is a reliable pick—accurate enough, built well, and tailored for Oklahoma Joe’s setups. I’d give it 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5 for its clarity and fit. Great replacement if your old gauge is fading—just mind your smoker’s depth!

No es la medida para el orificio del Oklahoma Joe, no lo compres si lo quieres usar en esa marca de ahumador por que no te va a servir.

I bought these and installed it in an older Weber Smokey Mountain smoker that was missing its thermometer. On first use, I had a probe at the grill level, and the new thermometer read 35 degrees F more than the actual cooking surface temperature. This is typical because the thermometer probe is only 2.5 inches or so long so it is measuring temperature that is concentrated at the top of the smoker domed cover. My newer WSM has the same problem with its factory installed thermometer. In practice, I never use these thermometers as anything more than an indication, so it doesn't bother me that much, but it may come as a surprise to the uninitiated.
