Very good quality 8-Leaf Lighting Barn Doors from Smallrig made from very good materials and will last a very long time if treated correctly.Very easy to setup it is just a case of connecting it to the light with the bowens mounts it really can not get any simpler than that, and just as simple to remove.I have been using this for just under five months now mostly for photography and I am very impressed with it, it is very strong and durable and the build quality is excellent BUT I have come to expect nothing less from Smallrig.I have been using the bowens mount with a number of different lights and it fits them all as expected this is using the standard bowens mount size.Comes with a 30 grid which will help to control the light, you will not get any light overflow with this on which is perfect when you want precise lighting.Also has a gel filter holder so you can attach gels to it which is a very nice touch and if you cut the gels to the correct size to fit this you won’t be disappointed it is quick to attach and remove the gels. But of course you may not want to cut them as you are limiting them to holder size so this is something to keep in mind.Overall I am very happy with the barn doors, I feel it is a fair price for the quality you are getting and I would definitely recommend it.

I got these to go with the Smallrig fresnel lens. They fit very well and are very well made, one mught say sturdy, that sturdiness does mean they are not very lightweight but the sturdiness gives confidence they will last. The ability to add gels the barndoor fitting gives is a bonus.Overall I'm very pleased with the unit.

This item is well made at a fair price but you should make it clear that it does not fit onto the reflectors supplied with pretty common lights like the Amaran 200 D and the Godox SL 200ii. It works perfectly with its own matt black adapter, supplied in the box, but this means you are entirely reliant on the bare COB light. The reflectors supplied with the Amaran 200 and the Godox SL200ii lights have a slightly thicker roll at the outside rim of the reflector and this will not fit underneath the brackets on these barn doors. it just about fits the aperture SL 300ii D but it’s not as secure as one might want. So whilst it’s true that 95% of reflectors on the market are 18 cm diameter, it is not true that this will fit them all. If you have a magic fix for this then please do tell me!
