砥石の面直し用に購入しました。今まで使っていたものより軽くて、使い勝手が良いです!少し気になるのは使用後にしっかり乾燥させないと、内部に水分が残って劣化が早くなってしまいそうな感じがします。

I bought this stone to use at work when I need a quick sharpening. I normally use a different brand but I wanted to avoid taking those and leaving them at work. This stone works and lasts just fine, but when you're done with it, it needs to be ONE HUNDRED percent dry or it will absolutely rust within hours. I'm not sure what the difference is, because I've been in the middle of sharpening with my Atoma's and had to leave and they didn't rust. So as long as you maintain it well or just don't care about it rusting, its an amazing stone for the price.

I used it only once to flatten waterstones. Worked really well. Im not able to judge the "value for money" and "durability" at this time.

I used this to flatten the back of an extremely hard old draw knife. It did the job well but I expect the true cutting grit would not last many such tools. It was great value for just this one heirloom tool. They knew how to make them in great grand dads day.It was the rust accumulated during the stewardship of two generations previous to my turn (and pitting) that need to be removed. In normal circumstances I expect this would represent years of use.A good product its not a fine sharpening tool, you need finer grades as well. And expect it to wear if you put it to extreme tasks nothing and no one lasts forever. In reality once the edge is remove from the diamonds it just becomes a finer grit.

These stones are a great value for the money. The aluminum extrusion they're mounted to is acceptably flat. The diamond application is fairly even, and has been holding up fairly well so far.The 150/400 grit combo is great for flattening natural or bonded abrasive stones, or doing rough to intermediate re-profiling of a blade. The surface area is large enough to use for flattening most stones. The only negative I can think of is the pattern they have picked on the 150 side. If you're using it for reprofiling a knife you have to be aware not to draw the edge across the stone at the same angle as the grooves or the edge drops down into the slot.I would definitely consider trying out more of their stones if they made some higher grit combo's as well like a 1000/3-4000.
